DOROT Greeting Cards
April is Volunteer Month! We're excited to announce our third annual event: crafting handmade greeting cards to bring joy to over 4,000 older adults in the DOROT organization. Join us for this heartwarming activity on Saturday, April 20th, at 1:30 PM. Everyone is invited to share their creative side and participate in this artistic afternoon! Supplies will be provided.
DOROT is a nonprofit organization that provides programs and services for older adults.
Christmas Toy Drive and Gift Wrapping Party
Join us in wrapping gifts for children of the community. Purchase a toy and join us as we enjoy holiday music and hot beverages. Purchase a toy from the Toy Drive list and join us in wrapping them.
You can purchase a toy from the Toy List here. Toys must be purchased by December 1st.
Volunteer Celebration and Live Jazz Band
Join us for a celebration of our volunteers! Prepare for an evening of live jazz and food, and discover more about how you can help serve alongside our neighbors! We ask that everyone purchase and bring a blanket for the children of P169M Robert F. Kennedy School. Blankets will be collected at this event.
Spectrum Pop-Up: New York Roots and a New Global Project
You are invited to join Alexander Carpenter, Spectrum/Adventist Forum executive director, and board member Nicholas Zork for a social hour after worship on Dec 2. Enjoy food, drink, and a conversation connecting the fifty-year history of the New York Adventist Forum with educator and interfaith specialist Kevin McCarty, host of a new Spectrum podcast promoting a global focus on identity and spirituality. Since 1969, Spectrum has created community through conversation, and we would greatly value your participation as we write this new chapter. RSVP is not required but appreciated.
Welcome Gift Box For Refugee Children
Advent Hope is organizing a new volunteer opportunity with Team TlC's Little Shop of Kindness. We are inviting our Advent Hope youth (all ages can participate), to create gift boxes for the refugee children as a way to help them feel welcome in NYC. Participants can pack the boxes with items they believe would help another child better adjust to life in a new country. Click on the link for further instructions and to indicate your participation.

P.S. M169 Robert F. Kennedy is a a Special Education school located on East 88th street between Park and Lexington avenues. Students are below reading level in the school. Advent Hope wants to encourage the love of reading by conducting Read Aloud sessions on a bi-weekly basis.
DOROT Card Making Party
Join us in creating handmade greeting cards that will be sent to over 4,000 older adults throughout the DOROT organization.
Use your creativity to make Birthday cards for older adults in the community. All supplies needed will be provided.
Lunch will be provided.
ACS Disaster Response: Volunteers Needed
Volunteers are needed to help with cleanup after hurricane Ian. Transportation, Lodging and Meal will be provided. Sign up at the link provided.
